Autocads Data Link Update in BricsCad

I don't have any experience with Cad programs, but an user got to me, saying he needs Autocad because he can't update data links in BricsCad. I would like to check if there is really no option for this in BricsCad before spending the bucks on AutoCad.

The issue is that they created an template with a table in it with linked data. If they draw some lines of a particular type they can run the following command in AutoCad to update to total length : Data Link Update .
Is something similar possible in BricsCad?

  • Some months ago I have created a Lips utility called "Field_Lisp_Variables" (original thread).
I have now created an updated version that can also 'emulate' this type of 'Data Link'
