IFC-Import: Handling of (length) units

Hi
I need some details or background about the handling of defined units when importing IFC to Bricscad.

I tried:

  • use an empty BricsCAD template with settings to mm (and later cm and m) and import an IFC

Result:
A car in the model was 4000 Units long (and later 400 and 4 units).

Supposed behaviour:
The units (or the length values or the coordinates?) from the IFC are subordinated to the units of the current DWG.

Question:
Is the behaviour really as supposed? Or are there some other dependencies or conversions which are to be considered?

Background of the question:
I need a fool-prove way to get always the imported data in meters.
