  • Select entities in your drrawing that you want to copy or cut, then press CTRL+C or CTRL+X.  Then press CTRL+V and paste the entities into your drawing at the mouse cursor by clicking the left mouse button.
  • No, the problem is that on my machine the Ctrl+C or Ctrl+V is not working. There is something wrong in the software functionalities. I press the combination but the command is not launched.

  • Hi Nicoleta,

    By default these keyboard shortcuts are defined in the base menu, which in BricsCAD is called 'default.cui'. Possible reasons:
    • You have changed your base menu to some other menu, which doesn't hold any keyboard shortcut definitions. Commonly done by loading a partial menu as the main menu. Partial menus are meant to be loaded alongside the base menu, not instead of;
    • You have edited the default.cui, modifying the keyboard shortcuts.
    • You have V12 and have loaded a partial menu, which initially causes keyboard shortcuts to be disabled. This is a bug (fixed with V13). If you restart BricsCAD the issue should resolve itself.
    You can reset your menu to defaults from the _CUI by pressing the 'Revert to defaults' button (see attached screen grab). Warning THIS WILL OVERWRITE your existing 'default.cui'. You may want to create a backup copy first.
