Anipath repeats first picture

I tried to create several short animations with V17 and V18 in Linux. While V17 usually crashed, V18 really writes a mpg or avi file. But this file always repeats the same frame. When i look into the /tmp fiolder there are hundreds of frames in png format, but they are identical. Why? The preview windows shows the correct animation.
