my commandline in Pro is way too wide - where is the setting to shorten it?

At present it is almost the width of my screen so when I press F2 to see my recent command list it occupies the entire graphics area, obscuring the work in progress. This is a major nuisance.

    I do not know of a way to shorten the actual command line, but the pop-up history from pressing F2 can be resized by dragging the right edge, bottom edge, or lower right corner. It can also be moved and docked.

    If you un-dock it, you can also control the location and size/shape of the command line itself. Just grab it by the bar on the left and drag it somewhere else.
