How do I stop chamfer making the corner angle? So it extends each line other? thanks

    Set these variables to 0: CHAMFERA, CHAMFERB, CHAMFERC, CHAMFERD.

    Thanks but thats not working for some reason now it says "this command has no effect"

    Perhaps it would be better to use the FILLET command for this.

    It sounds like you might have TRIMMODE turned off, though I would have thought that would prevent the Chamfer command from making the corner angle you mentioned. Try making sure TRIMMODE = 1 or On.
