Dimensioning Issue

I'm new to BricsCAD and have been a user of AutoCAD for years. When I dimension something that is not perpendicular from my original snap point, the dimension line becomes an angled dimension. What is the setting to avoid this? Thanks.

Are you using the DIMLINEAR command? The behavior you described sounds like what I get with the DIMALIGNED command.

Or this happens by using the new top alternativ DIM . Just don't use it creates more confusion
