manipulating clipping boundry using grips
I can't seem to find where/what variable to change in order to be able to manipulate the clipping boundary of a block (after it was clipped using XCLIP) using the GRIPS that indicate the (invisible) clipping frame vertices.
anybody knows ?
Thanx,
Assaf

You can see the boundary grips, but can't use them to edit boundary? Are there any related locked layers in your drawing?0

hi -
no, i can't see the grips of the clipping polyline when selecting the clipped block.
what i used to do was use XCLIP to generate the clipping polyline, then manipulate it, re-clip the block, and the delete the generated polyline.
on another station of ours (with older BC version), we noticed the grips of the clipping pline lit when selecting a clipped-block, which enables the immediate manipulation of the clipping line (without the above fuss...) - but we can't figure out what variable causes the difference between the two stations.0 -
There are two variables controlling grips appearance: GRIPS and GRIPBLOCK. You can check both of them in the Settings dialog.
Also you can create a new user profile with default settings and check if behavior differs from your current profile: PROFILEMANAGER -> Create -> give the name to new profile -> select created profile and press 'Set current' button.
