Hi everyone,

Have you use 2D FEA tool from BricsCAD Mechanical for simple span problem or even truss analysis ?

Are there any good examples to show how would you use CAEANALYZE2D for span or even truss analysis using combination of different steel profile ?

I have attached a simple drawing with my comments. The order goes from bottom to the top.

    The CAEANLAYZE2D is meant for relatively simple things, e.g. load on a single beam. I ran into this issue with V25 and had to contact support and then heard it was net yet capable to analyse more complex structures yet. (It is the intent to make that work in the future)

    If you want to analyse a 3D construction like a truss then you still need to use external software until they have developed the internal FEA further. ElmerFEM is a free program you cloud try. There are several options that are more affordable than e.g. Ansys. I can list a few programs I came across if you want.
