Side by side printouts to keep readability
Hi,
What would be the best way to create printouts of a long building so that the printouts are side by side sections. Example: I need to create A3 printouts (1:100) from a long building that barely fits to A0 in 1:100 scale. Is there some kind of automatic way to do it?

One of the easiest ways is using layouts, you can copy a layout and pan in model along the building alignment a fixed distance equal to a scale distance.,. For me I have make rectangs of the viewport size and at scale, they have a preset overlap but that could be changed, Second step is make layouts using the rectangs as definition of the correct model space viewport. I have that automated so you would draw a pline and simply walk along it making the correct rectangs. In this image you can see they follow a straight then arc then straight pline.
Not free but cheap like a cup of coffee as I normally have to set up the scales and sheet sizes, in particular matching the viewport size and location.
