Dynamic Input at pointer

Autocad has a setting where the commands entered are displayed on the screen in a box near the cursor - I think they are called tooltips. This is very useful and ergonomic for someone like me who uses text (commands, aliases and small lisp routines) extensively for input, rather than toolbars and ribbons in general.
Trying to find this in Bricscad help led me to this statement: "dynamic input at pointer not supported". Is this because of the version of Bricscad I am using (Pro)? Or does it apply to the entire product range?
Is there a fix for this, or an add-on macro I can use?
Please advise.
