I learned on release 10 and 11 as well. I really have been impressed by the new code concept with BricsCAD in installation time and in preserving customization just to mention a few points.
LISP is not dead though our chosen software.
I greatly appreciate your input and view. I will explore your suggestions as time allows. Since this is the "Other" forum I must add: Isn't it less stressful and a bit more enjoyable working with this high-quality type of "Other" CAD?
I better understand the overall situation and greatly appreciate your attached file.
I am on and will be using v19 for some time.
It is interesting that the grey and white selections work as designed yet the black color will not and cannot be togg…
To all readers. Immediate responses (like this one by application developer, Mr. Dotson), excellent support and tools make up the products by Dotsoft. (I am not associated personally or business-wise with this developer: This is a non-paid reply)
This is a very interesting topic and view that you have. The downside of dynamic blocks was the programming spectre of the anonymous block name that had to be taken into account. Yuck!
Let's hope the BricsCAD development talent will go one better i…
Excellent! I do follow those suggestions since using the "other" CAD and these have proven successful in the upgrade process in both applications.
BricsCAD is superior in retaining customizations when upgrading. Frankly, I am amazed at h…
My pardons, Roy.
I appreciate your offering. I am little rusty and need to revisit basic customization: Might this code be assigned to a palette or toolbar button?

Hello again to both of you.
I have a better understanding thanks to you, Torsten, and to our colleague here, Mr. McSwain.
In general, I cannot be more satisfied and enthused with both the level and timeliness of technical support and to the qualit…
I agree: You do strange things when floundering: I am rightfully feeling the embarrassment of ignorance. I think it is finally enough to start focusing on a single programming language since switching to this application and BLADE!
Kerry and others of this kind audience,
Your comments and Kerry's suggestions on how to improve posts with disciplined attachment naming are all welcome.

I am confused.
If so, is the modified line of code needed?
(substr acadfn 1 (- (strlen acadfn) 8)
"ACAD.PAT" has 8 characters.
Considering the changes reflected in the latest version , BreakObjects23.lsp, should I change the number to 11 charac…
I cannot locate what is most likely a LISP "101" level error: Debugging practice time with BLADE is needed.
The syntax with the double quotes appears to be correct as I checked it with a FINDFILE statement.
The LOAD statement gives an error (repla…
As a new BricsCAD user of about three weeks, I cannot get the trial version of Communicator as the corresponding BricsCAD Platinum v19.1 compatible release to work. When invoked, a message states that I have no license to use Communicator.
