Does anyone know how to associate a system variable to a drawing object using the new FIELD tool (v10) in Mtext?

An example would be to draw a rectangle, and use the FIELD system variable "Area" to display the area of the rectangle in the mtext.  If the rectangle is re-sized, the area would be updated in the mtext as well.

    What you're asking isn't really associating a particular system variable, but to associate the area property of a rectangle object with a field. This does not appear to be possible yet in Bricscad. We can only hope this and more will be possible later, when the functionality is more developed.

    Thank you Asbjorn... I find Fields to be extremely useful and will eagerly await more functionality.
