Bricsnet Intellicad Future?
It has been quit a while since the last release of Bricsnet Intellicad. By that time Bricsnet was talking about solids and improving the program. Since that time, no more news. What is today the Bricsnet commitment do Intellicad? I bought a lot of licenses from you, and I don't even get mail or a newsletter from you. I don't know if Bricsnet change his focus to another market. Please clarify what are the company plans, so I as a user have an option to change to.RegardsMarcelo

This is part of an E-mail I recieved mid October:"ICAD 3.0 is due for release on October 30th. This new version should be even more stable than the one available now.Regards,Shawn NilesDesign Products Support SpecialistBricsnet US"But I have not seen It yet. They are usually late in getting their product out (just like everyone else) but I would suspect it in the near future.

The overall focus of Bricsnet has changed away from CAD, and towards Building Center. You can see that all over the site. But Bricsnet IntelliCAD stays. Indeed the code in releases has evolved slowly for a while. This phase is now coming to an end. All intellicad editions are becoming much more aligned with each other (except for the additional, proprietary utilities), and equally stable. In recent months a lot of effort has been done to make the central ITC source stable enough so all members can use it as is, with success. We won't be able to compete anymore with being more stable than the next guy. But we will be able to compete with the 'other guy'.Because collaboration in ITC is improving drastically, development will(has) become much faster , and more a collective effort. I now am merging the code for the ITC release. Bricsnet will use that source for the Bricsnet release by the end of the month. in the current source a number of things are implemented which are not yet included in the release. solid editing is being tested. There haven't been newsletters about intellicad, that's right. I'll suggest it.Van Heuverzwyn Alexander, icad dev, Bricsnet, ITC
