nothing new in Intellicad v.3.20001

The new intellicad version 3.2001 is a fiasco.Nothing substantially new is in it.Some bugs are repaired (that is responsability of the company to fix them), but no really new features that help the user. The perspective works now properly , the bug with the distance is fixed (it is time) but the clip planes are still missing. The layer manager menu that is in Autocad since V.14 and is so important (i can organize layers and bring them up together) is missing. Is it so difficult to iclude it as a standard feature? In datacad is standard procedure since the D.O.S. versions .Why take money for a product that has not improved ,compared to his previous version?I hope that the new bricscad will try to keep its users happy as did bricsnet, and get new ones with a wiser policy.Nahum

  • It is not fair calling version 3.2.001 a fiasco. As explained lengthy before on this forum, the new license manager, which requires an upgrade of the user license, was introduced in version 3.2 instead of 3.1. Of course 3.2 has no new features in comparison with version 3.1, but 3.1 has new features when compared to versions 2. Fact is that users can profit of the new features and improvements in version 3.1, whithout paying anything.Furthermore, version 3.2 is not the end, new upgrades are coming soon, bringing more bug fixes and improvements of which users can profit without paying more.I'd like to focus on what IntelliCAD is today, on its capabilities. It is an affordable alternative for people who want to work in a DWG environment. Of course users can expect more, but it is not fair to focus on the bugs and neglect all the rest, because it is very obvious that the balance is positive.

  • Dear Mr. Verdonck:The balance for sure is positive, but in my opinion is not enough.I am sorry if didn't read your previous explanations of this version.I hope that the next versions not only fix bugs but bring new old features.I think it is very positive that you are in contact with the users and are sensible to their problems and aspirations.
