Perspective View Controls
The perspective tool still doesn't work properly .By selecting the x,y,z, points of the target and viewer, and the distance, i am not able ever to get the interior perspective i desire. I tried in a large number of models and in all the previous versions of Icad ,but i always get something else and erronious. The same model in Autocad i succed.A simple definition of eye point and target becomes a complicated task. The way of making perspectives as in Autocad is very old and unfriendly (from the Dos times). In other cad programs like Arc+ you have a perspective (isometria) view controler where you see the cone in plan view and elevation view, and you can move the target or the eye viewer in those projections dinamically while you see the perspective. In Datacad you see the cone camera and you fix beforehand the hight of the target and viewpoint, and then graphically you fix your view point and rotate until you get the image into your cone. The develpers of Icad dont' think that time has arrived to improve this old fashioned tool ?The real time sphere and other macros are very good for fine adjusments once you got the angle you want.Thank you for you attentionNahum

It is not possible to get an interior perspective view in the current IntelliCAD version.I agree the interface is not userfriendly at all. A work around to have perspective views in your model automatically is to save such view definition in your template drawing that is used to create a new drawing. You can then use the dynamic view control to adjust the perspective.

I think it is a serious drawback that we cannot produce interior perspectives. As a matter of fact i think that if you work with a powerfull porogram as Achitecturals is unimaginable that you are not capable to present your interior views.Today I managed to make interior perspectives by "deceiving" the program .I gave a much shorter distance than the default, and it produced an interior view, and then, i adjusted with the other tools.I tried in two models and worked, but the moment i used the distance command it run away and changed everyting without control.I think the problem is in the "DISTANCE" command.Anyway i think the Icad and Architecturals users deserve a better Perspective view!Nahum

AutoCAD has CL for clip option as part of Dview which makes it possible to view interior elevations. Is this missing from Icad?
