New version soon

Sorry for poking around on your ftp server, but I could not help noticing there is a German version 3.3.0009 out, with what seems to be a lot of good fixes. Will there be an English version 3.3.0009 too?

Comments

  • English version 3.3.0009 is scheduled to be released next week.

  • Release of new version was announced on Jan. 24 saying it would be available next week. It is now Feb. 5. Is there a new version coming out? Does it fix the mtext problems?

  • Does the new version prevent the lockups when using "flyover" intersection snaps when there are extensive polylines in drawing?

  • On monday I downloaded Intellicad 3.0.0019 or something like that. The file was inadvertantly deleted. Now the download page is back to 3.0.00003! What has happened to the new version?

  • I apologize for the erroneous version number of the above post. The version number was 3.3.0013 and has some new features and fixes.

  • Sorry to have kept you waiting for the release, but beta-testing revealed some show-stopper problems which we absolutely wanted to fix before releasing. We are now testing build 3.3.0015 and expect to release any day now, currently there is only one last plotting issue left to be fixed.

  • Hmmm... I downloaded v3.3.0013 too. While it's generally fine, it often fails to print - appearing to send print instructions to the printer, but then nothing happens. Is this the problem you referred to Louis?

  • Louis,Version 3.3.0013 prints to a networked HP1050C and HP Lazerjet6L from windows2000 over WinNT network. A relatively simple drawing was used for the test. Just thought I'd put the info on the forum and look forward to the more recent version.

  • It's here, folks, v 3.3.0016

  • Thanks for the new release, it seems to be functioning very well. I have some issues, old and new, which I hope you will find time to address. Things to improve:-Ctrl-left mouse button (orbit) in pspace cannot be corrected with plan command. Hard to correct in any other way!-Can't use crossing window on empty parts of non-continuous line segments with stretch command-Xlines, rays, disappear if zoomed into-Set layer via right-click on status bar does not work for long layer lists-Undo can be very slow if wheel zoom is used, since for each step back drawing is regenerated. Possible to treat sequential wheel zoom operations as one?Error trapping: -Disable intersection snap if cursor moves over multiple complex polyline segments-Warn before trying to calculate bhatch if boundary is very large compared to hatch scale-Wheel zoom: some time-consuming commands such as xref do not disable wheel zoom (regen seem to do that) which results in a lock-up with the following message:You have reached the limits of zooming in. Unable to zoom in any closer.Minor problems:-Attributes don't display while dragging-Selecting multiple layers in the explorer: it should be possible to also change multiple properties by clicking the property (e.g. color). It is currently only possible to do this by right-click->properties, which is less intuitive-Print only selected option should be selected as default i think. Makes more sense.-Options in a command should not display unless they are implemented, example:External References: ? to list/Bind/Insert/Detach/Path/Reload/Unload/Overlay/: Unload option has not been implemented.Conversely, all existing options should be listed, example:Zoom: In/Out/All/Center/Extents/Left/Previous/Right/Window/: There also is a "Dynamic" option here which is not displayed.-The help files: DCL reference contains reference to IC98 stuff that was discontinued in 2000 and newer versions: multi_edit_box, typeface, lower_only, upper_only-Default Filletrad should be 0, not 0.5. This is a problem in mm-scaled drawings because the difference is not visible on screen and can cause snapping errors.-Restoring layerstatus: does full regen for each step which makes it very slow in large drawings. Bug in entmod function?-Some problems using layerstatus function if drawing contains xrefs (possibly caused by very long layerlist)Wish-list items:Command-line more like Autocad: Copy text possible, up arrow cycles command history.
