Linux Release Support

Is Bricsys actively developing & supporting the linux release? My main reason for dropping AutoCAD (in addition to it being a horrible resource hog that spies constantly) is that it would also allow me to drop Windows for the same reason. BricsCAD seemed like the perfect fit, but even the text and buttons on pop-up windows don't fit in frame properly rendering those functions useless in either Wayland or Xorg (using an OS built on Ubuntu 24.04) … Unless I'm missing something, this is such an insane non-starter. Please, someone tell me I'm missing something.

  • Supporting 3 operating systems is just a waste of resources for a CAD like BricsCAD. And time just proves me right - there is so much more to CAD environment than just a single program (ERP, Office, CAM, CNC, BIM and etc.) and the only operating system with full range of applications in this area is Windows.

  • What happened to UNIX ? 😀
