Limited number of paper space views

It seems there is a limit of maximum 15 paper space views in ICAD. In the Properties dialog of a view, there's no ON/OFF value, which in ACAD controls view's regeneration and allows more view, although only a limited number of them active.Certainly not a critical issue, I just want to have it confirmed, not necessarily solved. Or, is ther some workaround through multiple layouts?RegardsVaclav

  • If you mean paperspace viewports, the variable MAXACTVP controls them. Default is 16 (1 modelspace viewport + 15 paperspace viewports)

  • the maximum is 48 , which is high enough. The only time this limit could become a problem is if you (or your software package) create and delete viewports a lot during a session. the counter does not decrease. And it should not, because a deleted viewport still exists(until the drawing closes). Undelete brings it back.Regards, sander, BricsCad

  • Yes, the limit is far beyond most reasonable requirements. Anyway, can you confirm there's no way in ICAD to control a specific view's regeneration (ON/OFF? This could speed things up when a large number of paper space views is defined and only some of them need to be active at a given time. RegardsVaclav

  • With that large number of Layout views (more than 10 or 15), multiple layer management is a must to work. Then you can freeze-thaw the proper needed views .
