Crashing in

Hello,This is getting to be annoying - I'm finding that when I try to assign a color to a new layer, the program crashes. I'm running Pro ver. 4.1.0033 on a new machine: P4 3.0 with an MSI FX5900XT video card. Is there something wierd about this combination?I'll try moving back to my old machine for awhile.-VM

  • I was crashing quite often (not sure about that specific operation), but it all went away when I unloaded the Object Properties toolbar. Now I just load it temporarily for the occasional bit of layer manipulation and it practically never crashes - changing the properties of a leader seems about the only odd operation consistently to cause a crash.

  • Hmm.. I don't use the Object Properties toolbar - I'm not even sure I have that option.I've been doing a lot with x-reference drawings, so I cleaned out all my x-refs in the drawings I'm working on. That seemed to cure the problem.I shuffle drawings in and out of a "working" directory, by saving drawings into it (not by simply moving the files). Perhaps that was confusing the machinery?VM

  • Object Properties is there when 4.1.0017 is installed, it's the bar with the Autocad-like drop down layer list with little padlocks, lightglobes and coloured squares. You have to cancel it if you want it off. It's name is at the bottom of the "Toolbars" list when you right click on an empty part of a toolbar area. Crashes give a hint ObjPropTB.dll. Never known changing file locations to upset Icad, but don't have reason to do it often.

  • Thanks for the tip. I had deleted mine a while back and didn't know how to get it back.
