EXPORTDWF

(In 4.1.0040) I just tried the EXPORTDWF command and while it said it had, there was no .dwf file produced. I have no special need for .dwf currently but wonder why it des not seem to work. Can anyone varify this?

  • Exportdwf does work. Please start with a simple drawing to make sure nothing is wrong with the mechanism on your computer. Possibly exportdwf has problems with some drawings, and breaks off without a warning.

  • No, I just tried it with a new dwg with 1-line - no file created anywhere. It's not a great concern, I have no immediate use for DWF. Almost everything else works really well.

  • DWF is a great way to put your drawings on your web site and share with your project team. The DWF file is viewable on a web browser. If you have DWF Viewer plugin you can view these files. However, if this is not practical for your team, you use CADVIEWER, a java based server side software that lets a user view dwf files without plugin. The DWF export works pretty well with Bricscad Intellicad 4.1.0040. When you invoke the command, it asks for the source file and then asks you to locate the target file. Make sure you use the corrct sequence.

  • DWF is useless to anyone without a viewer, and no one I know without cad software, has a viewer either.DWF's are currently being sent to me as a means of avoiding giving me the dwg files which would be useful, but after 18 years I suddenly can't be trusted with others' cad data.I have had to download a viewer (in fact more than one viewer because the first one did not always work), just to do less than I could have done with dwg files.Turbocad can open some dwf's and save as dwg, but most dwf's won't open in Tcad.None of which is relevant to the fact that Exportdwf does not work in 4.1.0040 on my machine. What sequence do you mean - as far as I can see the only choice is whether or not to save the dwg file first? Neither choice works for me.

  • DWFEXPORT requires R18toR15.dll to be loaded. When DWFEXPORT does not work at all, the first thing to check is whether the dll is loaded. But since in this case, the open file dialog is used, here is a second suggestion:DWFEXPORT works on saved files, not on the open drawing. That is why DWFEXPORT requests a save before you export your current drawing. This can be confusing at times.

  • Ah, just tried again and it doesn't work to create the default binary dwf v6.0 and using one or two of the other options. The other binary options work, don't know why they don't all work though.

  • I get this error when inserting a RasterImage and exporting it to DWF.An error occured while rendering entity ED: No GDI GS module available for exporting RasterImage to DWFAny solutions?
