Ver 5.2 Kernel error

Installing Ver 5.2 over 5.1 opend Bricscad in something new "BRICSCAD VIEWER". All settings forgotten, Path forgotten, and in short, nothing functions. So I had to uninstall the new version and go back to the previous one. I tried it on a machine running under Windows Millenium and a machine running under XP to no avail. The only differenece was that under Windows Millenium when you exit, you get the message:"ICAD has caused error in KERNEL32.DLL"Trying to start the Program again will invoke another error.

  • We are investigating this issue and will contact you asap.

  • I tried it on fresh machine. I think the problem is that this version is only the part of a Viewer of Bricscad and not the whole software.

  • I downloaded and installed ver. 5.2.0006 and everything seems to be working so far. I'm running Win98. When I first ran the new program it asked if I wanted to reset the toolbars and I said "YES" - maybe that makes a difference?

  • It's OK with me too. On WinXpSp2. Without resetting the toolbars.

  • Finaly I did it. After unisnstaling the software, I don't know how many times, cleaned the registry from any trace of "BRICSCAD", "INTELLICAD" and so on (manually offcourse), and even deleted the folder built under \Program Files\Common Files. Now I can use the Software for one session only. The second try will give you an error prompt saying : ccwtup32 error in user.exeTo use again the software, I have to boot the machine.I think that I will keep to the previous version.

  • Sorry !!! Mia culpa. I wrote a wrong key on installation and repeated that mistake. From this I learned that you can use Bricscad as a viewer and a good one at that, entering a false code.Everything is OK so far. Sorry about the fuz.

  • is it so that everyone can install Bricscad and use it unlimited in time as a viewer for dwg's as long as he doesn't has a valid licence key?It could be interesting for my clients when I send them some 3d MODELS.

  • It came to me as a surprise. I did mention at first that I got a "Bricscad Viewer" mode rather than the Bricscad Pro -[Drawing1] prompt on the top left corner. As for the usage of this option as a free viewer is for the guys at Bricscad to say.

  • The Viewer version of BricsCad is not meant to be free: our software is not expensive, but not free either...The current behaviour when entering an invalid license key is not as designed and will be changed. Kind regards,Hans De BackerDevelopment - BricsCad
