View mode

After installing version 6.1.0006 and starting it, the top menu (File, etc) is reduced (choices missing) and many toolbars are missing. Same thing with any existing drawing or new drawing. Reinstalling does no change, even after erasing Bricscad's folder. I stumbled on the cause when trying to erase an object in a drawing: Bricscad replied that this command is not available in VIEW MODE. I searched the help file, everywhere on your site, even on internet with no success. No information anywhere on this view mode. I realize that this is a view-only mode to view drawings whitout the possibility to edit them. How do I turn this off?

  • I might be wrong but I think that actually means a command is unavailable when it comes up. I am guessing the problem is that Icad has defaulted to "beginner" mode, though can't imagine why it wouldn't let you erase. Try "options/experience level...advanced"

  • Thanks for your reply. I was in a hurry to get this fixed, so I made a support request to which I got a quick and satisfying answer. It seems that the installation of the software went wrong regarding the licence. I updated the license and everything is back to normal. I can't be more satisfied with Brickcad's support. Very strange this View Mode....Thanks again for your reply.
