System variable doing what?

I discovered that the system variable STARTUPTODAY i s present in BricsCad 6.2.0018, but I cannot find any infomation about this in the help.It can be set to On or Off, but what does it do?

    I think it's coming from AutoCAD. They had a "Today Window" in one or two versions (2000i?). When all users turned it off, they skipped it in later versions.

    I have found out that the variable is there for compatibility reason and it is not used what so ever.Svend
