Missing functionalities

I have been experiencing some odd behaviour with BricsCad in my PC (Pentium IV, 2.8 MHz with 512 MB RAM, Windows XP with SP2).1) There's no way to make the command history to appear. Either typing, using the menu or F2 will not have any effect. The info is there and using the up down arrows in the right hand side of the command line it can be read with considerable patience aand no less discomfort. Alas, a List command will work correctly and display the whole window.2) Tooltips have completely disappeared. Is there any variable to reset them?3) The Shift+Right Click menu for picking an esnap has also disapppeared completely. One has to resort to typing to set a temporary snap (quite a nuisance but it works). Disabling the variable that controls real time zoom with the scroll wheel of the mouse enables the esnap context menu. But the loss of a much appreciated and used functionality is a high price to pay to gain another.Any hints? Thanks.Hector

  • Please try a complete reset of the menus. It is possible to just create a new clean userprofile with tools menu>UserProfileManager, but the following should be enough: The command "customize" (tools menu) opens a dialog with 4 tabs. Please reset the menu components in each of the 4 tabs. Alexander Van Heuverzwyn, Bricscad

  • Hi Alexander!I tried both methods, just in case, and regained full functionality of the PMTHIST command and the F2 Key. Had no luck with the other two. Still no tooltips and no Shift+Right Click context menu.

  • For the command history, minimize Bricscad to the taskbar and maximize again-this works for me-I don't know why... (I have Bricscad Pro ver 6.2.1002)

  • there is a variable TOOLTIPS, it must be ON (or 1). the change comes effective next time you launch bricscad.it is possible that you are using a menu o script or lisp that is resetting this value to 0about the rightclick plus shift im not clear what could be the reason.AR

  • Hi everybody!I'm glad to report that two of the three issues I initially posted have been solved.Command history reappeared after following Alexander's suggestion. Tooltips are now working but I stumbled upon the cause by pure chance. An Internet friend from the Netherlands reported the same behaviour with Agnitum Outpost Firewall. He subsequently traced the problem to a conflict with Spyware Guard (which I also use). Disabling SG recovered the tooltips for him, so I decided to give it a try with BricsCad and Presto! Tooltips were back! I still have to figure out how to keep on using SG alongside with BC.Now if I only could solve the Shift+Right Click menu problem...Cheers!Hector
