Non-selectable OLE Object

We would like to embed a disclaimer into our dwg that we send out of our office to contractor, sub contractors, etc that would be un-alterable.I have heard of being able to insert a non-selectable OLE object into a dwg using AutoCAD. Can this be done with Bricscad? If so, could you enlighten me?Thank you.

  • I don't think non-selectable would do what you want.In Autocad, it's a toggle in the right-click context menu for OLE's, so someone else could just right-click and make it selectable again. Plus they can be Cut (removed) even while they're non-selectable, again by right-clicking. Bricscad can delete them. The only security would be that other than deleting or re-sizing, no one will be able to change the image in a CAD program. They'd have to Cut and Paste it to a photo editor to do that, and then Paste or Attach the altered version back into the DWG file. That's true whether it's selectable or not.To get an OLE image in a Bricscad drawing, just Copy the image to the Windows clipboard in any program, and then Paste it into the drawing.
