Viewport Scalling
Im having an issue that when ever i edit a viewport in anyway it will loose the view of my design layout. im trying to scale my viewport in paper space but everytime i bring up my design layout by zooming and panning then revert back to paper space to scale it to a set scale it looses the view. i know there is a command to stop this but i cant remember what that command is cheers

Could it be that UCSFOLLOW is on in that viewport? By design, if this variable is on, the view will be reset to plan view when any viewport is activated.

ok update seems i can use the standard scale tab in the properties bar when the viewport is selected but i can not use the custom scale tab. the standard scales seem to work fine but the custom scale makes the viewport "loose the design" will have more of a fiddle and see how i go

In order to get the correct viewport scaling using the Custom Scale list, yout need to do the following first (extract of the Bricscad Help):- specify the width and height of the viewports in drawing units.- The plot scale setting on the Print dialog has to reflect the relationship between paper units and drawing units (e.g. paper units = mm, drawing units = cm, plot scale : 10 = 1)- Set the scale of each viewport to the scale you want in the plot output.

my problem is not working out the scale of the drawing its getting the viewport to hold the scale i set. im having issues with the current drawing im working on. the paper space layout and viewport do what i want until i try and copy the layout at which point my viewport goes and shows a spot in the negatives ie beyond 0,0 and i can not make it stop. ive tried ucsfollow and even locking the viewport but it doesnt work. any suggestions?

Please file a support request and mention the Bricscad version number you use (e.g. the current release version is V9.1.10).Attach a sample drawing along with a description of what our support engineers should do to reproduce the issue, we will be glad to investigate and fix the problem at hand.Kind regards

i was running the latest down load version but have since download 9.1.11 and there seems to be no issue with my view port scaling in the same file so fingers crossed 9.1.11 has done the trick

Is it possible to edit the scale list in the properties box when adjusting the viewport scale.e.g. change the scale of 1:4 to 1:5
