Feature Request
Has anyone else found this to be frustrating? When 'Always use crosshairs' is checked the crosshairs are still visible during entity selection. This can be confusing sometimes especially for users who were used to runing my routines in AutoCAD, before we made the switch.

To be honest, I have not found it annoying at all... then again I always have the command window open. Just my opinion though.

If you have "always use crosshairs" unchecked, they are off for entity selection and generally for other non-editing or non-drawing functions. If I recall correctly that was just how Icad98 was permanently set and perhaps because I grew up with crosshairs, I didn't like them ever to be off.I still don't - just as crosshairs are often helpful to see if entities in a drawing "line up" with other features, they are equally often a help in selecting those entities.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the command line. My problem is that we've got about 40+ people who have never recieved an hour of professional CAD training and have become so spoiled on my routines that most cant even plot a drawing correctly without some kind of one-click button for it, much less pay attention to anything at the command line. The CAD department was dissolved a couple years ago, since someone thought it would be a great idea to just slap AutoCAD on everyones machine let them pretend to be drafters. After all, the work that we do is just soooo easy and it would be soooo much cheaper to just let the people without drafting backgrounds have fun with CAD too. There just 2D piping iso's right? Stick drawings right? You can probably guess why all of a sudden there is a mad dash to jump to cheaper software. Especially since we were about 150 people larger at the time. I'm just glad I was able intervene in the process and at least recommend Bricscad as the alternative. The ones who are griping and complaining about losing their copy of AutoCAD 2000i dont even know just how bad it could have been...They could have been fighting with ProgeCAD, AxCAD, or worse they could have been forced to draw without LISP routines at all by going to something like AutoCAD LT.But alas, we bill the client by the hour so maybe it is in someones best interest that we really dont do things faster and more efficiently. I'm sure someones getting rich off of all the extra "billable" hours, but its not me thats for sure!Sorry for the rant.
