Layout template
I'm having some trouble creating a layout template with the company's logo. I can insert the logo but it will either disappear or come up with an error message when reopened. I've tried using tif, jpg, png and bitmap pictures. Anyone know how I'll be able to insert such a picture into Bricscad? I think we're using the 7th version here.

Dear Mari Alvik Hagen,
The problem of images disappearing seems to be related to the zoom factor. If I attach an image and then zoom using the mouse wheel, the image will sometimes not display (and in some cases also not print). Saving and then reopening the drawing sometimes solves the problem. The problem seems to occur specifically with high res images. No error messages though.

An error message would result if the bitmap image file isn't found in the folder specified in the Saved Path, as shown in the Images section of Drawing Explorer.
For images used only in one dwg file, it's common to store the image file in the same folder as the dwg file, or in a sub-folder using a Relative Path specification. If you move or copy the dwg file to another folder you have to move or copy the image file also.
For a company logo image, usually the image file is stored only in one place, on the server, and all dwg files reference that location using a Full Path. If a dwg file is sent to someone who's not connected to the server, then a copy of the image file has to be sent with it.

Thanks for the answers. I got rid of the error message. The biggest problem however occurs when I try to use the template with the logo on other drawings (new layout from template...), then it just disappears. Is there any way around that?

Why not digitize the logo into actual DWG entities... I don't remember seeing a bitmap logo on a set of engineered plans.
