Civil Engineering add-ons for Bricscad V9
Are there any civil engineering add-on software products being developed for Bricscad V9 that are comparable to ACAD LDD or Civil 3D? I have an old version of a similar product that I still use with Intellicad 98.

Hi Michael,
We will soon announce a huge 3rd party application for road and 3D site design, ground modelling, land survey, etc. It is an existing application that is ported to Bricscad V9. Very professional and powerful. Release expected along September. Is that in the range of what you are looking for?
Best regards
erik

Hi,
You can find an overview of all civil applications currently running on Bricscad in our Application Catalog.

Hello,
You may want to try GeoTools, a complete productivity add-on for Bricscad V9, which also includes a whole lot of useful generic functions for Civil / Land Design / Map making etc.
Look here: http://www.coordsys.com
If you like it and need something more that is not already in GeoTools, do let me know.

Thank you Gentlemen for your responses. I look forward to the Bricscad civil add-on. I have used a GeoTools product which I downloaded to view USGS quad maps. It is very useful. I would like to know more details about the civil tools from GeoTools. Also, the Civilcad looks very comprehensive. As a small business owner I must consider price as well and compatability with other software products. Thanks again.

Hello Jose & Al others,
Like Bricscad, GeoTools is getting better with each passing day. We are identifying and fixing bugs and compatibility issues. Version 9.3.9 of Bricscad was an important release for GeoTools as well. The new geometry engine and vastly improved curve-related Lisp functions dramatically imroved the performance of many GeoTools commands.
My advice to all - please download the eval, test and let me know if you find something that does not work.
To know more about GeoTools development, email me and I will subscribe you to our periodic newsletter updates.

Hello Together,
since September 2009 there is a new company from Germany “below software GmbH” listed as Bricscad application developer, which has the main focus on civil design. We do not develop civil designing tools from the scratch. We took a well known and more than 20 years experienced civil designing software based on AutoCAD and make it fully Bricscad compatible.
I am adding more and more Programs to the application list of Bricscad, but I am still not finished.
We have tools for:
- Surveying
- Digital Terrain Model
- Roadway-Design (probably the best!)
- Sewage- and water supplying design (also probably the best!)
- Infrastructure
- River-Engineering
- Land management
- Construction account
The whole software is still in English language available.I will add them also in English into the Bricscad application list.
For further Information please send me an email to info@below-software.de
Best Regards

What is anyones expierence using GEO TOOLS? Does it work fine or does it lock up Bricscad, how does the contouring and 3d surface programs work? Any comments would be appreciated.
