How to use PDF Export in Bricscad 10?

Two questions about this:

- Once I have checked the box to enable use of plot styles in the PDF export options, how do I tell Bricscad which plot style to use?  Does it use a certain one by default?

- How does PDF Export decide what part of the drawing to export as a PDF?

I generally do not use paperspace layouts -- all drawing is done in model space.  When I do the PDF Export on a drawing, it does seem to use the extents that were windowed in the last regular plot that I did.  Is Bricscad using this window as the plotting extents?  But it does not seem to use the CTB file from the last plot.

Thanks.

  • - Bricscad uses the plot style that is associated with the layout or model space.

    - The part of the drawing that is exported is taken from current plot settings in the layouts or model space. However, if the ZOOM TO EXTENTS option in chosen (See PDF Export settings), model space is zoomed out to the extents of the drawing. Whether model space and or layouts are exported depends on the 'PdfLayoutsToExport' user preference. If ALL is chosen: model space and all layouts are exported, if ACTIVE is chosen, the active layout or model space is exported only.

  • Great -- that works!

how to do when you only want to PDF export the paperspace layouts and not the model space?
