Hatch problem with version 9.3.14

Got a drawing with two half circles with a line thru their center(picture a section view of a pipe cut in half) and for some reason cannot hatch the space between the arcs. Just curious if anyone has had any problems with hatching like this. Sent out a support request but don't know if I'll get a response with it being version 9.

    I wouldn't mind guessing one or more end points isn't quite Elev 0 - Z not quite 0.

    If you want to try (entget (car (entsel))) on the command line, pick an arc.

    For lines you expect the report to include something like (10 1825.38 1927.65 0.0). See if the very last figure which represents Z is not 0.0

    Assoc 10 and 11 are for a line, assoc 10 is for an arc centre point (?) but I'm not sure what other assocs are specific to the Z's of an arc.

    I have been having this trouble with lines and submitted a SR. My hatching has not alwys worked on boundaries supposed to be touching, I suspect this is why.
