finally I got bricsCAD to work
so there is many things that works... but some stil not.
> sh bricscad.sh(bricscad:6257): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_drawable_get_depth: assertion `GDK_IS_DRAWABLE (drawable)' failed(bricscad:6257): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_drawable_get_depth: assertion `GDK_IS_DRAWABLE (drawable)' failed(bricscad:6257): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text()
1. for now does not work zooming out. Only zoom in and pan works. Does not matter in what direction mouse scroll is rolling.
2. once i got lisp works (+ 2 2) return 4
but now all lisp expression crashed bricscad
3. keybord focus not allways focused at console. (but it should be)
for examle i run zoom command and then console lose focus. So to input all or extents I need to point mouse to console. that is very annoing.
thank you Bricsys fofr good job.

YES !
It works, or, at least, it certrainly shows signs of life. Pline, rectang, circle works.
some settings are available. Zoom in with mouse works. Zoom all on commandline as well.
and then -- it crashes.
So I hope in the near future to be able to work in ubuntu-bricscad instead of going back to Windowz and acad for most of the work.

Unfortunately in my case it fails to load the menu.
I tried various ways, including as a super user, but does not work.
You load the GUI, the crosshairs, but I can not select any function.
Can I send you a screenshot? What email address?
Hello and good work.

Hi David,
I did not get a menu either.
Just the drawing area and, below, the commandline.
So, selecting functions by mouse is not possible.
I tried the good old autocad commands directly by hand in the command line.
I tried:
pline
rectang
circle
zoom in with mouse (no zoom out possible)
zoom all in commandline
move
dtext
It all works, and boxes with options appear
After this, it crashed.
It works, but it is still very alpha.

If I am understand you right, you look for icon tools?
it is not working yet, you need to writer command in console at bottom of main window
like
line, trim, circle
I got some non systematic crashes while drawing,
I found that double midle mouse button click working it zoomed to extends

Yes, actually I tried the buttons.
I thought it was a problem only mine.
Now I have run some commands from the command line, and I must say that it works.
There is some work to do, but the start bodes well.
Hello and thanks

Hello all!
I've tried to load default menu from Win-version, but...:(((
At any case it is very good, that we have some progress in CAD4Lin.:)))

Accessing the card colors, in the sub 'index' does not see colors but can be chosen only with the number or randomly clicking and viewing the previews.
Trying to move the vertices of a closed polyline Bricscad crashes and the terminal receive this message:
(Bricscad: 3111): Gtk-WARNING **: gtkwidget.c: 9575: widget class `GtkPizza 'has no property named` row-ending-details'
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
The "enter" key sometimes does not works and give symbols on the command line.
The rotation works only with input from the keyboard but not with the mouse (or maybe I can not)
The offset seems to work well but the command line is not active when you have to press "enter" to validate the input. You must activate the click with the mouse.
Another message on the terminal:
DWGdirect warning: priority = (0) Substituting font "t" by default font.
For today will suffice.
Anyway good work guys.
Keep it up!0 -
I can see the light!!!! Finally...... Keep up the good work....
You could post a message at every version you release.... only today i realised that the 10.0.3 was released.
Best regards

I just used the release link to download 10.3.1-1. Toolbars, graphic windows, opening existing files, and drawing tabs for multiple drawings - it's really looking like a fully functional copy is just around the corner.
Ongoing contratulations to the development team.
I, likely among many others, am really looking forward to the Beta! It's going to be wonderful to be able to work in Linux without my current clumsy workarounds on the windows version!

Great !
it really starts to work.
I hope "images" will follow !

Hello everyone
I tried the latest version, and am already better than Windows.
I noticed that if I want to open a DWG file, I have to specify the box "all files" instead of DWG.
I only have two questions:
1) When will the support for the printer & plotter?
2) How i remove the mouse pointer arrow from linden crosshairs?
Hello and good job0 -
Hello everyone
I have a question, If i install bricscad, it needed the product code. If i like reinstall from scatch instead of making distro upgrade? Is required any time a new code?
Thank you
Ciao

Alpha version has not code, is for test only

I think for final version. I usually reinstall my distribution when i have a newest version. in this case i must reinstall bricscad every time. Is a nuisance.
