Excel Spreadsheets
Version 10 is the first version that pasting spreadsheets really seems to work. However when I go to resize them, it is freeform resizing.
Is there a way to lock the ratio so that it stays the same?

Instead of the grip edit I use the scale command to scale the pasted spreadsheet object (from OpenOffice) and preserve the ratio. Works well for me...

Thanks. This works but I need to scale mutiple times to get the right size.
It would be nice if there was alock like AutoCAD has so you could use the grip edit.

Until the grip edit method works well for scaling you might try the base scale option to the scale command. If you know the size you want to occupy, run the scale command:
SCALE
<pick object>
<pick corner of object>
B
<pick first corner again>
<pick opposite corner of object>
<pick point where you wish opposite corner to be>
Play around with this and you may find it works easier for you. I have not inserted multiple objects in the same drawing so I do not know off the top of my head if there will be any difficulty maintaining compatible scaling.
