  • No, provided dwg-version < 2010. But what is the reason behind your question?

  • I want to open a -09 Autocad dwg in Bricscad v10. this messsage comes:

    "Unable to load drawing.

    Invalid dwg version.

The file seems to be corrupted.

Try using recover to load the file. "

I have tried using recover.that didnt work.

  • The file is nor corrupted..

  • Why not file a support request and attach the drawing?

  • I'm using a trial version.maybe thats why?

  • No problem, we also support users who are trying out our software.

  • I think that's the message I get from the occasional ACAD2010 file.

You can download DWG True View for free and save files to earlier versions (anything will do), for free.

Some Acad users don't really know what version they are working in.

  • "Some Acad users don't really know what version they are working in."

I cannot imagine this when you upgraded from r2008 to

    r2010... ;-)

  • You where right about that. I saved the dwg as a '07 and problem solved.

    thank you.

  • It seems that there is really a mistake in the last version of Bricscad (also I tried trial version). Some DWG files it can not be open at first time (report above error), but second attempt is successfull. DWGs are in versions 2000, 2004 and 2007 (mostly in 2004).

  • Well, smartypants Dirk?

Many people work in offices with all the machinery provided and their first thought is not what version they are using.

Many just use it like a public telephone and forget it at knock-off time. They might be very good drafters, focused on the job not the tools.

I'll bet not all Bricscad users know what versions they can import.
