wrong data in spline after trimming

Version 10.2.12 build 17687

when you trim a spline (other items not tested) at several intersections with a line and view the reminding spline segments with the LIST command, they show wrong data for their length. The length that is displayed is the length of the original spline up to the reminding segment's endpoint.

  • I can confirm the first part of your statement: lengths of rest segments are definitely inaccurate. However I can't discover any relation between old and new lengths.
I drew a spline by clicking 3 points and then supplying 2 tangent points. The result resembles the top-half of a circle. I made two horizontally spaced copies. Drew a horizontal line across all three and then trimmed the top of one spline and the "legs" of another and left one intact. The lengths as reported by LIST are:

    Intact: 6.9133

Top trimmed away (note: legs are visually similar in length):
    First leg: 1.2217
    Second leg: 7.2060

    Legs trimmed away: 5.7578

I presume you have already filed a support request.
