iwill suggest to post them here
my 5 cents
yesterday I was draw a little with Bricscad for linux, and I found that I expect from BricsCAD ortho on a middle mouse butoon click (because of blender).
So my sugesstion is to add fix ortho when start line drawing according to mouse direction
how it sould work:
:line 0,0,0
move mouse in direction for example "y" axe press Middle mouse button should at least change global ortho status, or even more lock "axe" with direction
then i should input length
for examle "20"
so I got line (0,0,0 0,20,0)

That should be done with "polar" cursor, as in Autocad.... Autocad users are used to it.
Just enable polar in 90 degrees steps and, when the orientation is close to a polar one, the
cursor is automatically locked to it.
Don't know if it's yet enabled on Bricscad, but I guess so...
