printer default settings

when I'm opening a new layout I'd like, when hitting ctrll+p, to get right from the start a certain printer, and a certain .ctb, and a certain papersize, how can I control these default settings ?

Set up a template with one or more layouts with the desired settings. And then create new layouts using the From template option.
Please note that the Select template from file dialog uses dwg as its default file type. So you have to switch to dwt to get templates to display.
