BricsCad For Linux API

Hi,

Sorry to bring this one up again.

There was a post saying that  BRX would notbe available in the first release of BC4L.

There was a question about DRX, which I don't think was answered.

Could someone provide me with some info about what level the planning for at least a 'part' brx for BC4L is at?

This is very important to me...

Hugh

  • I'm just thinking out loud here..I've never done any programming on Linux. but I would bet you could use the headers from the DRX 2.06 SDK  and link with same ODA libraries that ship with Bricscad. of course I'm probably missing something

  • Dear Hugh, Dear Daniel,
at first, using DRX 206 should be possible indedd - Bricscad (Linux) itself is built that way :-)

    Regarding BRX :

few days ago we got confirmation from development head to start "BRX for Linux" ...
so at this moment, the very first plannings are on the way - as normally, we can not yet
provide any more details, of course ...

But, at least, you can rely on a kind of sportive ambition on our side to make it possible :-)

Once we have some first results, we might give more informations - to provide some safety
    for your plannings.

    Many greetings to all.
