SNAPBASE does not set a new hatch origin in Bricscad?

In AutoCAD, the SNAPBASE system variable can be used to set a hatch origin point.  Bricscad has a dialog box option in the hatch dialog box to pick an origin point, but for compatibility with my AutoCAD lisp routines it would be useful to be able to set a variable.

Am I missing something, or does SNAPBASE work differently in BC than in AC?  Is this a bug?  I'm using AutoCAD 2002.

Thanks.

  • The help for Autocad says:  Overview of Hatch Patterns and Fills (Concept)"The location and behavior of a hatch pattern depends on the HPORIGIN, HPORIGINMODE, and HPINHERIT system variables, and the location and orientation of the user coordinate system."  SNAPBASE does not seem to do anything to hatches in Autocad 2010 or in Bricscad 10.4.8.  HPORIGIN seems to work the same in both programs.

  • Thanks -- that was my problem for using an older version of AutoCAD.  I guess SNAPBASE has been replaced.
