arc length dimension + DIMFLAC

DIMFLAC (dim scale linear) does not seem to have any effect on arc length dimensions.

Anyone experiencing the same or do I miss something ?

  • Yes, I see the same, arc dim not scaled. Are you sending in a support request?

  • From a web page titled "Autocad 2010 User Documentation":

All linear dimension distances, including radii, diameters, and coordinates, are multiplied by DIMLFAC before being converted to dimension text.

DIMLFAC has no effect on angular dimensions, and is not applied to the values held in DIMRND,  DIMTM, or  DIMTP.

  • Anthony, the quote does not specifically address the arc length but logically the arc length is a value that should scale if the radius does. It would be incorrect to scale the angular values but for an arc of a given angle, the length is directly proportional to the radius length.

    Is this contrary to Autocad?
