  • Are you using the most recent version, V10.4.18 ?

Right-click action is defined by the system variable SHORTCUTMENU, wich you can edit in the settings dialog. It can be set to display a shortcut menu, if not it should repeat the last command. If it does not do so in V10.4.18, please submit a support request with a scenario to reproduce the issue so we can solve it.

  • It happened to me too, for the first time, this week, that right-click was delete instead of repeat.

I exited BC, restarted it and all was well again (V10.4.18).

  • Does it happen always ? Does it also happen when you hit enter ? We can't reproduce it here, if you can give us more info to reproduce it, it would help us a lot, we 'd be glad to fix it asap.

  • It was the first time it happend to me, and it took a few moments until I realised what's going on.

All I remember is, the command sequence was "delete" and then "champfer", I used the

right mouse button for repeating "champfer" but  "delete" came up, I didn't try "enter". Unfortunately

I can't remember if I tried it on another drawing to see if it's related to a drawing. Now, I will observe more carefully

    when it happens again.

  • Using V10.4.18.

Didn't try exiting drawing when it happend.

started up this morning in the same drawing and by right-click mouse i got the full menu. Pressing "enter" after a command repeats the last comamand as should be.

guess is was a "hanging command:" or something like that.

    I'm sorry ( or glad :-) ) i can't reproduce it at this time.

will keep it in mind an pay more attention if/when it happends next time.

    Thanks for the replys

  • I have BricsCAD Pro 10.5.5 build 19729 and I have the similar ptoblems with the mouse setting. My right-click button brings up the Zoom command regardless what was the previous command. The problem I having is that, I can not change this behavior and I always have to go back to the side icons to execute the command. Would not repeat. Anybody can suggest a solution to the above problem I would really apreciate .

  • I had similar unexpected responses once, in perhaps the original V10. It happened right before Bcad failed to start at all.

I don't know why the response changed, but it turned out that a Command in my startup lisp which had always worked in the past, suddenly caused havoc.

Can I suggest disabling any customised on_doc or on_start lisps and menus to see if it still happens.

  • Hello,

The probblem with this perticular problem is that it's not reproducable every time.

It sometimes comes up. I don't use BC every day.

It  happend also in version 10.5.5 and older.

Last time it hapend  i had no time to traceback my steps. maybe next time (hope not ;-))

  • Hello John Gaunt & Sander de Geus,

I hope the senario of "Bcad failed to start" won't happen. I started to play around with the "Mouseshortcut" variable where you can change the settings from 0 to 16. Setting it to 16 (in my case anyway) the right mouse button repeats the last command executed. Will see how long is last as in the past I had various problems as the system without any worning changes some of the settings worked before. I am running Bcad on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit system with 6GB system memory and 1TB HDD. So, the room available for the program is not a problem. Thanks for your attention to my problem - aakdraft.

  • Hello Sander de Geus,

Go to "Settings" and then to " User Preferences" then "shortcut Menues" there are a few selection you can make  - Enable Default mode shortcut.....,Enable Edit mode shortcut.....,Enable Command mode shortcut...., and so on. Good luck!

  • Bcad not starting actually alerted me, after a little digging, that some lisp behaviour had changed in line with Autocad and that in turn has helped solve a few subsequent problems.

  • @Alex K.

Thank you for your suggestion. I had them all enabled except 'Enable command mode shortcut menus only....'

enabled tat one too, let's see.....

    greetings

    Sander de Geus
