Unable to copy with base point

If I try to copy with base point after selecting entity and assigning base point I get a: "Failed to copy data to clipboard" error. I am using Bricscad Classic 10.6.5 installed on Debian Lenny / KDE.

    With GNOME the command works; is there a way to get the command to work with KDE?

    Command works OK in

    Bricscad beta Version 10.6.6 build 19737
    Linux 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop x86_64
    openSUSE 11.2 (x86_64)
    4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 8"

    but I must start a Klipper first
