I am tring to use Quick Select by entering the model space through a viewport in Paper Space. Quick Select does not work in this instance. However, Quick Select does work when I enter Model Space through the tab at the bottom of the screen. Is this by design or is it a bug?

    I know I have reported it in February last year. The support request 18617 is still listed with status "Fix Scheduled" so I am guessing there must not be many users with this working pattern. I don't think the developers have to look far for the next thing to do! I expect their priorities are set based on issue criticality and number of related user reports.

    Personally, I find this limitation renders the Quick Select nearly useless as it takes too much time to use "Quick" select...

    So, if there are many similarly affected, please send in a support request ;-)

    Does anyone has a lisp program to implement the Quick Select function similar to AutoCAD?
