refent don't work right
I have the apparent intersection switched on at the refent page, but it never finds an apparent intersection, so i have to enter it manually everytime i have to draw from or to an apparent intersection, is this a bug?

You are obviously using the Spanish version where entity snap is translated to refent. To answer your question: apparent intersections are found if you have set this up as a running esnap. But both entities must be found inside the aperture box. If that is not the case you must use EXTENDED apparent intersection or EXTENDED intersection and you have to "manually" specify the esnap for every intersection. Which makes a lot of sense if you think about it.

Please can you explain what a running esnap is, i think i get it but maybe i got the wrong translation.
Anyway when i try to draw a line from an apparent intersection, there's no aperture box, only the cross; and i still can't snap to it even positioning the cross where the app intersection is.

Please check out the Online Help on the subject. Running esnaps (sometimes also called osnaps) are the currently active entity snap modes (the pressed buttons when no command is active).

To change the aperture box and/or make it visible:
Menu > Settings > Settings ... > In the input field type in apeture0 -
The final word in the previous post is of course a typo and should be: aperture.
Wouldn't it be nice if you could edit your posts on this forum...

First, I had apparent intersection activated and what i thought about what a running esnap is matches with your explanation.
I did what you told, i activated the aperture box and proceed to check it out, but it still don't work; i move the cross to have the app int inside the aperture box but nothing is found; the rest of the entity snaps work perfect so i don't think it was the aperture box.

You say: "to have the app int inside the aperture box".
That is not the same as: "both entities must be found inside the aperture box".

both entities inside the aperture box?? i mean, how can i get two splines that cross each other in different planes inside the aperture box?? to do this i have to set the box as big as the entities so how do i recognize the app intersection i want to draw the line from?

OK, let's be really precise:
Both entities must be found inside the aperture box. This doesn't mean that the entire entity must fit inside the box. It just means that (a part of) both entities must cross or be inside the box.0 -
But that's what i meant. I mean, if the app int is inside the aperture box, it means those parts of the entities where the app int is located are inside it.
My case is as follows: i have splines on different heights, but viewing them from top they appear to be in the same plane... apparently. I need to draw a line from one point where the two splines cross apparently, because they don't really touch each other; that's why i need the app int snap.

Ok, I think we now understand each other :-)
In the ReleaseNotes.htm I find for version 11.1.6: SR24618 - SNAP: fixed snapping to SPLINE.
Are you using an earlier version perhaps?BTW:
EXTENDED (apperent) intersection doesn't work for splines. But this is not your problem.0 -
yes i use v10.5.6 :-(, will have to ask my company for permission to upgrade. In the case of extended app intersection thanks for the advice, now it's not my problem, but depends on the files other partners or customers send me.
Thanks Roy, and my apologies if i sounded rude.
