raster image attachment
I find it irritating that when I attatch an raster image and when I send it to someone the file path has changed so it is not there when they open it their end. Is there anyway to overcome this to make them a perminant attatchment. I am not a Cad guru so I don't know why the image is not 'just attatched' I am sure there is a good reason for this somthing to do with proscessing economy as a guess.
Can anyone assist?
Thanks

Imagine the rasterimages as XREFS.
I use to put the rasterimages in the same folder as the dwg.
You might attach the images as an OLE object, but I wouldn't recommend this.

When you send drawing files you should always use the "etransmit" command (in the "file" menu).
It packs all dependent files, such as fonts, xrefs, images and plot configuration files into
a single ZIP file.
Options include resetting dependent file paths to one folder, save format, etc.

Also consider using relative paths instead of absolute (full) paths if possible.
Note: If you are working in a new drawing it would need to be saved before you can attach using relative paths.

The thing is, "etransmit" can fix all that when you send a file.
Just choose the "one folder" option.
