Bricscad 11.3.3-Pro Beta BUGS
BUGS:
1. The Splash doesn't show long enough to be read (less than a second)
2. The User gets locked-in once he/she enters the Settings Dialog. There is no 'OK', 'Done' or 'Cancel' Button and 'ESC' does not work all the time. Its a huge trap
3. I get errors on the Terminal (see links below)

REQUEST:
1. I wish the Background (Drwaing Window) Colour can e adjusted via GTK colour picker like the Command Line Background. The Indexed Colours are limiting
2. Move the Command-Line settings from User Preferences TO Display ... they are mostly Display settings anyway.
3. Can the end-users have the extra luxury of having their Fedora/Ubuntu packages in twos (i386 and x86_64)?? The current code is compiled for 32bit machines foring 64bit users to install 32bit code. I used to think its a matter of compilation using 64bit machines having 64bit libraries.
SYSTEM INFO:
Fedora 15 (Beta) 64bits to be released in May, running the Gnome3 Desktop Environment with GTK3
Dell Precision M6300, Core2duo @ 2.50GHz with 3GB RAM

I forgot to mention under BUGS above:
4. The Settings Dialog has an Export feature (CSV) but no Import Feature ... that voids the former and makes it redundant

Comments on bugs:
1. I wouldn't consider this as bug, I like the startup speed of Bricscad. If you want to read the dialog, see help menu.
2. This is new in Gnome 3, before this all dialogs had close buttons from windowmanager and separate button was not needed. Now it apparently is.
3. These errors are related to using Gnome 3 as well. These say that the gtk2 theme with right name is not present (since gnome 3 uses gtk3)

Hi Mattias,
Thanks for the response. It's rather odd to get a flicker representing a splash. Its either completely disabled or obvious ... a quick millisecond flash doesn't cut it. It looks like a mistake. Its worse when the Splash disappears before the text and graphics on it can load. The developers should consider prolonging the display time to the norm, and allow the users the choice of disabling the Splash screen. Its also a way of advertising for Bricsys so I don't see how this will be disadvantageous to them
Do you know if the developers plan to make Bricscad compatible with Gnome3 (GTK3)? This is where the Gnome Desktop for Linux is heading and will become mainstream from April 6th (I think). Fedora will be shipping this DE from May and some Gnome users (like me) will like to run their applications on that. I'm guessing this adaptation will not be expensive since Bricscad is already running well here (except for those UI traps I mentioned).
