Any chance of Python3 in Bricscad?
I know its already much work porting Bricscad to Linux. I'm just hoping, one day, the team will consider introducing a Python3 scripting API. That will make the application soooo 'Linuxy' and fun to automate since Python is the common language for automation in Linux world apart from Perl. Being closer to C/C++ and easy to construct (not in semantics but in comparision to LISP), it should further establish Bricscad's position as a powerful Drafting tool. This will encourage development of more tools for Bricscad since many find C/C++ harder to adapt to (I can image it'll tough understanding BRX without C/C++ knowledge at this point).

Hi,
I think there will (unfortunately) never be an API Python in Bricscad Linux.
But it should be more important to have a DBus interface, like COM in Windows. With such an interface, it would be possible to write Python script, but also Basic, C# and so on ...
I hope it happens ...

I would love to have python scripting with Bricscad. I use it for a lot of other applications now. I suppose if we had access to the BRX and knew what we were doing, we could insert in interpreter into Brics.
