What is that little box that pops up asking for input?

When I run a command in the command line, such as -plot, a little box pops up for input such as Yes/No/Cancel.  Can anyone tell me what this box is called and how I can turn it off while my macro runs?

    Pull down Settings > Settings

    As soon as the Settings dialog opens, type prompt menu

    That will take you to the PromptMenu preference.
    Use the pull-down list at the right to select "Don't display..."
