Printer settings error???

I noticed everytime I start up Bricscad I have to re-enter my print settings. Don't recall any new tab or check box for this, and it's set to use the previous config. Bottom line it didn't do this until updating to the latest version. Anyone dealing with this too?

  • I have noticed that today. Simply switching from Previous to Layout and back to Previous worked for me with the last new drawing I made.

  • I sent a SR about this problem. The first reply said Bricsys could not repeat it, then a second reply said  "Developers inform that this could happen in some circumstances. This problem has been fixed in the source code already".

I guess that means in an update not yet released (?).

Whatever the 'circumstances' were, I managed to strike them every time.

Meantime I'm happy reverting to 11.2.12, where each print defaults to the previous settings.

  • To be honest I think I've had this problem with every update of V11 so far. I have just put up with it as I've been too busy to file a support request.  It is starting to try my patience a bit though as the settings only hold during the current session.

  • I used to save/set mine from lisp routine, just in case I goofed them up....easy to do..

I'm sure the guys will get you fixed up soon though

  • For me with Bricscad v11.3.11 if I want to reuse previous plot settings in a new drawing:

    1. start Bricscad
    2. create new drawing
    3. select layout
    4. run page setup
    5. change "Use plot settings from:" to be Layout
    6. change "Use plot settings from:" to be Previous

Voila! I have the previous plot settings.

    Does this work for others?

  • I see there is already an update available for this...

    Great

  • Just noticed plot styles under plot options still isn't being retained if checked. I'll file a support request.

  • Thanks Tim.

  • Just got a message from support that a fix is on the way.
